Jedna z najbardziej utalentowanych węgierskich wokalistek! Po ukończeniu w 2010 roku Akademii Muzycznej im. Franza Liszta w Budapeszcie, Júlia założyła własny kwartet. Album “Hidden Roots” (wydany w marcu 2014 przez Dot Time Records, Nowy Jork) był jej drugim albumem w roli liderki – kontynuacją udanego “Stroller of the City Streets” – albumu wydanego w lutym 2012 przez japońską wytwórnię Whereabouts Records. Doskonałą technikę oraz barwną ekspresję wokalną Julia zawdzięcza znakomitemu, klasycznemu wykształceniu. Dobór repertuaru, który skłania się ku muzyce klasycznej, również to uwidacznia. Oprócz własnych kompozycji Julia lubi sięgać po pieśni ludowe oraz utwory kompozytorów takich jak Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, George Gershwin czy Stephen Sondheim.

One of Hungary’s most accomplished vocalists. After graduating from the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Júlia founded her own quartet in 2010. Hidden Roots (released in March, 2014 by Dot Time Records, New York) was her second CD as a leader and the follow-up to the successful Stroller of the City Streets (released in February, 2012 by Whereabouts Records, Japan). Hidden Roots contains a number of Júlia’s original compositions and as the name eludes to, arrangements of Hungarian folk songs. Julia’s impeccable singing technique and expressive tonalities are a testament to her classical training, reflected in her repertoire choices, which lean towards classical music. Beside her own compositions Julia is keen to select folk songs and songs by composers such as Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, George Gershwin, or Stephen Sondheim.
