KIRTE-LEE KESKEL
An Estonian jazz vocalist and composer currently based in Rotterdam, where she studies at Codarts University of the Arts.
Her music brings together jazz tradition, contemporary influences and elements of her classical vocal background, creating a sound that is intimate, emotional, and deeply rooted in storytelling. Through her music, she explores human emotion, vulnerability and the small moments of everyday life. Over the past few years, Kirte-Lee has performed with several big bands, including the Estonian Dream Big Band, Tallinn School of Music and Ballet Big Band, Tallinn University of Technology Big Band and Codarts Big Band. She has also received recognition at international competitions, including the Grand Prix at Solistica 2025, the Leading Female Artist Award at the Prinses Christina Concours 2025 and first prize at Tallinna Talent 2024. In addition, she was a finalist at both the Uno Naissoo Composition Competition and the Roundtable Competition.
In 2025, she performed at TUJA Jazz Festival in Estonia and will appear this summer at Grachtenfestival Amsterdam and Jazz in de Gracht in the Netherlands. Alongside performing, Kirte-Lee is increasingly focused on original music and collaborative projects that move freely between improvisation, jazz tradition and contemporary expression.
Inspired by Nordic atmosphere and emotional sensitivity, her music invites listeners to slow down, reflect and be fully present in the moment.

Jest również laureatką prestiżowych konkursów muzycznych. W 2025 roku zdobyła Grand Prix konkursu Solistica oraz nagrodę Leading Female Artist Award na Prinses Christina Concours. Rok wcześniej zwyciężyła w konkursie Tallinna Talent. Była także finalistką konkursów kompozytorskich Uno Naissoo Composition Competition i Roundtable Competition.
W 2025 roku wystąpiła na festiwalu TUJA Jazz Festival w Estonii, a tego lata pojawi się również na Grachtenfestival Amsterdam oraz Jazz in de Gracht w Holandii. Coraz większą część swojej działalności poświęca autorskiej twórczości i projektom opartym na współpracy, swobodnie poruszającym się pomiędzy improwizacją, jazzową tradycją a współczesnymi formami ekspresji.
